January 2012

It's been snowing for a couple of days now so, Nils didn't go to work and my school got cancel. We decided to enjoy our days in and also decided to go outside and play on the snow.

Before we stop talking about 2011

One more very important post.... This year my wonderful cousin Alejandra came to visit and stayed with us for a whole week during the month of November. And to make things even more fun she didn't come along. She came with her boyfriend, Mike, and his two kids Kaidance and Skyler. We had a very fun week with them and we are so glad we got to meet the guy that makes her smile. We are so happy for her! : )
During their visit we went to a couple of places with them, my favorite Leavenworth. It was such a cute place to visit and it was Nils and I first time going there.

We love having you guys over, thank you for visiting and making new memories!

Welcome 2012

Can't believe it's 2012 and I didn't even noticed until December 31st. I think I was a little bit sad to say goodbye to 2011 because it was such a good year for Nils and I. But we are both excited to see what 2012 is going to bring to our family and even though we started the year sick, we are very positive that this will be a great year. There are a lot of fun things happening this year and we just can't wait to celebrate the people in our lifes and each day we have together. Let's the new adventures begin!

Our crazy December Month 2011

On December 16th Nils, Charlie and I left on a roadtrip to Utah to his cousin Katie's wedding. It was so nice to finally meet the rest of Nils' family and to be there with everyone to celebrate the union of Katie and Jason.
First, we attended the lunch, where we hung out with Nils' inmediate family.

Then, they had a reception later on that day and did all the wedding stuff: taking pictures with everybody, tossing the bouquet and cutting the cake.

The next day, we went to Nils' sister's house to get together and hung out and to celebrate Nils' dad's birthday.

After spending some quality time with them, Nils and I went back to our hotel to pack again and get ready for our next road trip to Vegas!!!
The first thing we did when we got to Vegas was checking at "The Bellagio", it was our first time staying there and we loved it! We walked around the hotel, gamble a little bit and went to bed. The next day we had the whole day to explored more, so we headed to check out other casinos and had the chance to go to "The Secret Garden" a habitad for dolphins, lions, tigers and leopards. It was neat to check them out, of course my favorite part was to see the dolphins.

At night, we went to the Jabbawockeez show and saw them performed and it was so much fun!

After the show we headed back to the casino for a little bit more blackjack fun. That night we didn't do as well as we hoped. Next day, we woke up, checked out, went to the car to drop off our bags and decided to go back to the casino and see if our luck had change. Fortunatly, it did and we made all of our money back and then some. Then, we headed up to pick up Charlie from a petsmart and there we went on our way to California.

We arrived in sunny Southern California later that afternoon and we stayed there for about 2 weeks in which we enjoyed every single day we spent there. The next day, my dad came to visit and barbeque for us. As always, the food and company was great!

The next couple of days we hung out, did some shopping and prepared everything we needed for the festivities. This year, my mom and I cooked Christmas dinner together, and were very succesful at it. On the morning of the 24th Nils and Sergio went to play some soccer with some of Sergio's friends. Unfortunatly I didn't get there on time to get Nils in action, but it was a very nice warm day and even Charlie got to play some soccer with Nils.

At night, we had our Christmas Eve dinner and waited to midnight to open gifts. I trully love Christmas and love to see how everyone reacts to the gifts Nils and I give them. This year Nils and I had a couple of surprises for everyone and it was a lot of sneaking around, but it was worth it! This is my favorite picture of that night Oh happy tears! : )

 Next day, was Christmas day and we spent it at my mom's apartment hanging out with each other. Sergio's girlfriend, Tami, came over and we had a little surprise for her. She is one of my kind, her love for Disney is awesome and so she NEEDED to have this:

Next day, December 26th was Sergio's 21's birthday and we celebrated big! We had a full house and lots of good food and of course a pinata! (my idea). We love you Sergio!!

Next day, we drove to San Marcos (40 minutes south of where we were staying) to one of my favorite restaurants: Daphnes to meet with my favorite girl cousin: Alejandra. I feel the closest to her and we just love spending time together, it's always fun to see her! I love that she always makes the effort to meet me up every single time I go down to California to visit. And every Christmas we exchange gifts! Here is a picture of all of us at the restaurant:

When we went back to Murrieta, Sergio and Nils wanted to go car racing, and so we did, and went to get pizza afterwards. It was a very fun day! I think Nils enjoyed this day in particular becuase he loves messing around with my brothers, and while they were racing he flip Sergio's car and slowed him down. 

On the 28th of December, our dearest friend Angel arrived in LAX, so we and my mom went to pick him up. Since we were in LA and this was his first time ever there, we went to Hollywood! We scored some crazy discount on a couple of the museums they have, so we went to Ripley's Believe It or Not, Guinnes Records and The Wax Museum. We had a blast, but I knew all he wanted to see was one thing:

The next day, we took it easy and just hung out in Murrieta, did some shopping and went to watch "Mission Impossible".
On the 30th. Angel and I went to my favorite place on earth.. guess it yet?
Disneyland!!!!

I seriously had SO MUCH FUN! So thank you so much "Chuy" for this magical day : )

Next day was already the last day of 2011. We spent the morning shopping for Angel's outfit for the night and hung out with everybody during the rest of the day. At night, we went to say goodbye to 2011, the best way we know how: dancing!

After receiving the New Year, we headed back to my mom's place for some champagne and to do some of the peruvian's traditions.

Nils thought that we should stay one more day, and I didn't complain about it. So January 1st we spent it at the beach.

After that, we got back to Murrieta and enjoyed our last day there with everybody.

This vacations were amazing, we got to see almost everybody we love and we are so thankful for all of you that made this trip so wonderful. Can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for us : )

Holidays 2011

Thanksgiving:
We stayed in town for Thanksgiving and had my cousin and friends over for the celebration. This was our fisrt thanksgiving at our place and our very first time cooking a turkey. So, we got into planning the big dinner and after hours of preparation we are happy to say we succeed! We were very happy with our turkey and how the day went. We loved sharing our Thanksgiving dinner with our loved ones and can't wait for the future ones we'll be hosting.

We felt so bless for all of these people that made it to our dinner and hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Early Christmas with The Sundelins and Burns in Utah:

Nils and I went to Utah for Nils' cousin's wedding and got to get together with some of his siblings and parents for the wedding and weekend. So, we had a small Christmas celebration with them. Unfortunatly, our camera died, so this is the only picture I got (my cute husband and his Santa hat giving gifts to everybody)

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day:

We spent Christmas in California with my family, and like everytime we go to California we had a blast! We enjoyed a lovely dinner with my mom and brothers, laughed, and of course opened gifts. This year, Nils and I had a couple of surprises for everybody, especially my mom. We loved the time we got to spend with them all and thank them for the great time we spent together.
